The 30-second checklist
A real browser game runs in the page. Close the tab if a site asks you to:
- Download a launcher, .exe, .apk or "client" to play a "browser" game.
- Install a browser extension or allow notifications to continue.
- Disable your antivirus or ad blocker "for the game to work."
- Enter your Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, Epic, Rockstar or Google password.
- Complete a survey or "human verification" to unlock the game.
Red flags after a takedown
When a popular port is taken down, dozens of copycat domains appear within hours, often with near-identical names. Many are ad farms; some push malware. Prefer sources that explain where a game comes from and who made it.
Spot fake Play buttons
Ad networks forbid ads disguised as game controls, but bad sites do it anyway. A real Play button sits on the game itself; big flashing "PLAY NOW" or "DOWNLOAD" buttons around it are usually ads.
On a school Chromebook
Follow your school’s acceptable-use policy. Avoid "unblocked" mirror sites that proxy other people’s games — they are a common source of malicious ads. Games that load quickly and need no install are the safest choice.
How AI Browser Games handles this
- ABG Originals are single static files with no downloads, no accounts and no extensions.
- We do not host, embed or link builds that bundle copyrighted game assets.
- Third-party games are clearly labeled "Plays on developer’s site" before you leave.
- Ads, when we run them, are never placed on or next to game controls.
